For 6 weeks or more, for sure since the double pneumonia my stomach has been upset, achy, on edge and generally quite uncomfortable.

There were two rounds of antibiotics for the pneumonia, one which I’ve had several times before without any problem. I’ve had less experience with the other type (ciprofloxacin). So, it could be the drugs.
Pneumonia in the lower lobes of the lung can cause abdominal pain as well. Who knew?

The CEO of carbon removal developer Deep Sky, Damien Steel recently stated “We are long past the point of picking and choosing which solutions we use to fight climate change. We have to use it all.”
Including nuclear power. France delivers 70 per cent of its electricity using nuclear (Ontario — 60 per cent) and has been for over 40 years. What does France know that we don’t?
Nuclear energy will drive the acceleration to meet net-zero targets by 2050. All energy sources have their pros and cons, including nuclear energy. Those who are opposed to nuclear energy often site radioactivity. We need to put radiation into perspective. For example, the very popular beach in Guarapari, Brazil, in some places has radiation readings about equal to the centre of the Chornobyl evacuation zone in 1987. A 1930s fiestaware plate is slightly more radioactive than spent nuclear fuel dry cast storage.
Fukushima, 29 days after the accident, had the same background radiation levels as Winnipeg does today.

WHOSE CHOICE IS IT?
When sitting in a stillness before God, I often ponder my choices.
· My choice to be quiet and choose rest.
· My choice to live a life of faith.
· My choice to forgive others leads to my freedom.
· My choice to let go of the things I cannot control.
· My choice to accept the promises of God for my life.
· My choice to trust in His faithfulness regardless of my circumstances.
Life can be difficult and draining. We encounter problems, failures, and various overwhelming issues. Often, we want to shift blame and point a finger. We can easily fall into a “victim” mentality. We feel defensive.
After years of coaching and mentoring, I wrestle with the profound question: “Who is in charge of me/you?” Is it your boss, your neighbor, or your little brother? Is it still your mother or father? At some point, we all realize that we must take responsibility for our daily responses and decisions. We can aimlessly blame our lives away, like a victim, or we can take smart steps to walk towards a victory for greater, more powerful tomorrows…. starting today!
… your boat. Well not quite a boat but for the off-water season it’s an indoor rower, specifically a WATERROWER Club on loan from Mandy.

With the iPad attached to the arm on the front of the rower there are a number of applications that can make indoor rowing a bit more interesting. My current favorite is EXR which is like Zwift for indoor rowers. It has some decent animations which give you an avatar in a rowing scull on a variety of rowing courses, rivers and lakes. Not yet a sophisticated as Zwift but that seems to be the direction they are going with the app. Integration with Apple Health, Zwift and Concept2 logbook (not yet working for me)
Some other apps:
EXR provides a list of what they considered to be the best rowing apps for 2025 on their blog at https://exrgame.com/blog/article/best-rowing-apps
I’m sure there are more. Let me know your favorites in the comments.

Jesus reigns, Jesus reigns.

As the drainage and air leak continue I’m told “one more night” and then we’ll re-evaluate.
Surgery was Feb. 20th and the stay was planed for overnight. It’s Day 4, Feb 23rd.
