Getting ready

On the weekend we set up the Christmas tree and put out all the Christmas decorations, including this guy.
He was a gift from some friends who have since moved away and we’ve had limited contact with. When we received it I wasn’t too sure about it but, over the years I’ve come to appreciate the gift more and more. Our Snowman friend occupies a high traffic area at the foot of the stairs to the basement.
Each time I pass, I think of our friends, and wonder how they are doing.
