{"id":3200,"date":"2020-11-18T13:56:08","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T19:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bigdadoo.com\/blog\/?p=3200"},"modified":"2020-11-18T13:56:15","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T19:56:15","slug":"encounter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bigdadoo.com\/blog\/2020\/11\/18\/encounter\/","title":{"rendered":"Encounter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Somewhere along the line in my meditation journey I discovered <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/encounteringpeace.libsyn.com\" target=\"_blank\">encounter<\/a>, &#8220;A daily podcast of sacred and mindful meditations to help you encounter the divine presence of God throughout your day.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I usually end my devotional readings listening to the meditation of the day. These meditations are almost always synchronized to the &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/verse-of-the-day\" target=\"_blank\">Verse of the Day<\/a>&#8221; from the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youversion.com\" target=\"_blank\">youversion<\/a> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youversion.com\/the-bible-app\/\" target=\"_blank\">app<\/a> that I use for my devotional readings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Tuesday (2020\/11\/17), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+8%3A6&amp;version=NASB\">Romans 8:6 (NASB)<\/a> was the verse of the day. &#8220;For the mind set on the flesh is\u00a0death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace&#8221;. This particular translation has &#8220;the mind set on the flesh&#8221; and I has this thought. I know this isn&#8217;t totally accurate and for sure way to literal perhaps but I had the thought anyway and it helped me. My focusing or thinking about (&#8220;and set on&#8221;) the cancer, the tumour, the treatments etc. is &#8220;death&#8221; <em>but<\/em> if I set my mind on the Holy Spirit it is &#8220;<em><strong>life and peace<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;. This probably only makes sense to me but who knows.
